I drilled the holes to 4.5mm to give a small amount of wiggle room.

I have a front mudguard as well, but that is grp and will need painting. No hurry for that but as I was paying the postage though ...

I had to drill the mounting holes myself. Not something I enjoyed doing, but managed to get them in useful positions.

Ordered on the 29th May and arrived yesterday.

I did the same when I first changed the oil!

From memory the actual drain bolt is further forward.

The Dieci normally uses the early FZR1000 ExUP engine which has the filter you describe. Think shortly after that Yamaha switched to the spin on canister filters which probably confuses things

Hi

Looks like a good basis depending on how much it went for. Forks can be rechromed (I had mine done at the chrome was wearing out).

Probably cost £1k to £2k to sort it out very well depending ...

Think it was the K&N for the Z1 that I used on my Dieci. But no idea if that filter should be shared with the YB9.

On the Dieci it fitted into the air box easily. Just needed a small hole ...
