Thanks for that, I did put it back in as I'm off on a road trip tomorrow to the Italian border I'll leave it be till the next oil change. Did get a load of oil out so not all is lost

Kind of six of one and half a dozen of the other. If you got to strip half the bike down to do a service might as well go the whole hog. Bet you have to take the front end off to tilt the motor.

Right belts for an 851 Duc. Same number of teeth, same profile. I tried fitting as per the book but they seem impossibly tight.

Left it for a day and went back to it. Everything is now lined up and the locking tool is now in.
Is there a knack for getting the belts on. They seem very tight with not enough slack to get them on.
