Yeah I know what you mean about 5 gears but if you try to drop into first for a slow bend or hairpin it will lock up if you hurry it. So maybe a slightly lower first and a slightly higher top ... May ...

Fitting the lamps onto the original plate isn't too difficult.
Yes the sidestand is a known problem, it doesn't have a locking ball bearing that the sb6r has either.

SB6 - I had the brembo goldline callipers which I changed to billet ones, I used a 19/20 billet radial master cylinder with them. The iron rich discs take a little heat to get them to really work but ...
