Oh, and did I mention how critical float height is and how far it can end up from the 12-14mm recommended by Mr Yamaha!

There is so much scope for fuelling woes on these bikes - carbs difficult to set up and difficult to get on and off and prone to wear - main fuel cock which seems to flow (or not!) what ever position ...

With Paioli forks, you have a YB8E and therefore need the carbon mudguard that mounts on the caliper bolts.

It is likely that the coupler between the starter clutch and the generator has stripped. It will involve taking the starter clutch out and pulling the coupler and bearing off and replacing. About £100 ...

The engines have quite different characters. The FZR motor is turbine smooth, whereas the GSXR 11 motor feels more brutal, for want of a better expression. I love them both and I don't think you'll be ...

Sounds like it's running rich. I would look for wear on needles. If there is visible wear, you probably want new needles and needle jets.

RCS are a great choice Steve - really give a much better feel at the lever than was available from either Yamaha or Brembo at the time. Do be careful to get the right size clutch master versus the sla ...

Can't tell you whether Bimota used the same jetting as Yamaha, but a good clue is that if it has Mikuni branded main jets with a square with a smaller square in the bottom right hand corner, the jetti ...
