Not in the Midlands, but I would try somebody like Maxton. If you were up for spending some money, they would put some cartridges in for you, to bring the forks right up to date.

Best bet with the manifold rubber clip screws is to swap them out for M4 socket cap Allen, and use a couple of flexible shafts and a 2.5mm Allen bit.
