SB6R parts - as per the title, looking for a rear hugger, either single LH or pair of footpegs and a screen. Any info re aftermarket items to get me on the road initially would be most appreciated too.

Just taken on a project today, most definately not a basket case but needs a modicum of TLC.

Many thanks in anticipation........

Welcome to the forum Wink

Get some pictures on the forum, every one likes pictures Laughing

As for parts, I'll have a look in my 6R box tomorrow but in the meantime, ebay.DE is where you need to be searching. I have certainly seen a screen on there of late Wink

Thanks for that...... the one I've acquired was lightly damaged years ago, in fact I nearly bought it in 2005 (!!) and it's not turned a wheel since. I'll get some images to post when it lands here.

Ebay.de here I come........

http://bimota-teile.de/Bimota/index.html

footpegs for 39 euros, but it says no stock at the moment.

this place is above average expensive (usually IMO) but if they've got it . .

http://www.bimota-parts.de/bimota-teilekatalog?page=shop.browse&category_id=13

footrests 35,90 euros
hugger 197,90

If you want the footpeg it might be easier to get a pair made

If the bike's been dropped then check the rearsets are straight, there are different gearchange types between the 6 and 6R too.

Thank you all for your help and interest..... at least I have some promising lines of enquiry to persue.

Re the username, I tried to think of something Italian and lake Garda sprang to mind. Having chosen Garda the Irish bobby thing did occur to me.

So, there's an Englishman, Irishman and a Scotsman all trying to get their SB6Rs back on the road...... I'll have a think how that one could progress Smile

Keep the info coming chaps!

Hi Garda
I have a used SB8R carbon hugger - not sure if it's the same as the SB6R part?
It has been repaired internally and the lacquer has cracked in one place on the outside. But as I'm in Yorkshire (West) you could nip over and check it out.

If it's any help, the sb6R and SB8 swing-arms are totally different. I have both arms in my garage, I'll measure up the part the hugger bolts too in the moning
for a definitive answer if you like Wink

Chaps......

Thanks for the offer re hugger measuring. My friend whom I acqired my SB6R from has another one with a complete hugger - am in the process of finding out if there's anyone who could copy it for me.

Thinking of people like QB Carbon etc but depending on cost I might be as well sourcing one from Germany where as you all so rightly pointed out there seems to be the EEC molehill of SB6R spares.

Would be interested to know if the SB8R one is the same though......
