Here is a picture of my first Mantra after 6 months of work.
I sold it 3 years ago.
A very bad idea.
This bike is to difficult to find to sold it...
I learn the lesson. |

Be careful with that one, changing the wife often means no house, you could always change the house with a large enough garage to leave over the top and then just move in, no need to change the wife then either |

Mmmm Marceshinis from New? What do the Bike Magazine Reviews for your Model show GeeKay? Perhaps UK sold bikes were different to other overseas markets? I have a rake of mags with test bikes of Mantras if you would like me to look if you don't have any yourself mate? |

It's very difficult to know the production year of your Mantra.
For exemple, I'm sure that mine is a first generation :
- grey noze cone,
- front headlight with H4 bulb,
- rear yellow mudguard (not carbon),
- carbon fiber windscreen,
- two Tomasselli handelbars,
- ducati 900 SS engine with oil lines on the generator cover...
I'm quite sure that the engine was produced in 1995.
But she's wearing Antera wheels.
The bike was registered the first time in 1997 august ...
The second generation was powered by the new M900 Ducati engine fitted with green engine covers (clutch and generator).
The fairing kit with new windscreen, sigle handelbar end carbon fiber rear mudguard was produced in 1997 october. It was an option.
For me the first generation is the more beautiful. |

My bike was first registered on 28/11/1995 and was the UK "test" bike loaned to magazines so they could wheelie it to death. Somehow it survived that period, and several years languishing in a damp and leaky garage before I got it.
The only differences that I can see between your Mantra (the yellow one) and mine are the wheels, the front brake master cylinder (yours has a remote fluid chamber) and the mirrors.
And that yours is a lot cleaner than mine.

The front master cylinders and mirrors were fitted by the first owner.
I sold them on the bay and replaced them by EOM Bimota (brembo PS 13 an PS16). |
