3K dont sound bad. I think you may be getting confused with europeans using "," for the decimal point rather than "." as we do in the UK. |

thanks anyway, for your answer.
i have yet to figure out how the starting price is put on ebay and how all of this works (and maybe be more careful before i post) !

there are two basic ways of listing on egay,
firstly a simple classified advert which states a price you are asking
the second more common is simply to have an "auction" listing where you specify a "starting" price (e.g. 99p, etc.) and then people bid the price up depending on interest - you can also add (but not compulsory) a hidden "reserve" price so it doesn't sell at less than which you value it at............ |

the listing above probably started at EUR 1000.00 but that isn't the actual price, it now has 7x bids (sun 11th March 18.10) and stands at EUR 3000.00
BUT it still hasn't finished yet so may/probably will make more?? |

no trouble, majority of auctions start low to get people enticed.......... |
