Well chaps this years project DB2 has finally been completed after 3 months of TLC and removal of bling and other such "modifications".

Bought the bike from a mate of mine who hadnt ridden it for some 12 months after buying it. Its the one that had grey wheels and a whole lot of money spent on it at some point , then had the madasfook thread about cushdrive repairs and general slagging off about making a fast buck a couple of years ago! Well times move on so here are a few piccis.
Main issue was the cush drive - 1 pin broken, 1 pin welded ffs, 1pin a 10mm screw with cover on it and the others loose, well dangerous to ride - anyway some great welding and machining later all sorted.

Total strip down, belt replacement, plastic coating, "bling" nuts and bolts removed, new sprockets and chain, replaced brakelines that were put in place of oil returns from the heads - 4x less area for oil to flow through.
Just in time for the sunny Easter weekend - not! Oh well have done 60 miles and all seems well. Now to next winter's project???

ps anyone who owned this before -have you got the original clipons?? Cool

Very Nice Nige, and I do like that mega Oil cooler plus the new brackets fitted to hold it in place, have to try and meet up again one day and have the 2 DB2's side by side for a double take.

ORIGINAL DB2 clip ons?? I'll keep my eyes open, I'm pretty sure that George V has a set that came with a DB2 frame and forks that someone on here sold to him, full frame, one wheel , hangers and a few bits

Thats your problem you see, should be in the sunny North West not the frozen North East.

I see my db4 starting issues are well known. Hopefully I will get around to fitting a electric fuel pump plus a few of my USA goodies, and the starting will be better.
