|
|
Any one got any info on setting the rear ride height height on an SB6.
I can see there is an sdjustment for the distance to they length of the rear shosk, eye to eyse.
What is the max length you can meke this ?
Not sure of the linkage, and whether is longer raised the rride height or shorther raises it.
Dumb question I know, but we all have to start somewhere.
Im 6' so would like to raise it as much as I can without upsetting the front end.
Cheers,
Si.. |

Hi Si.
Lengthen the thread you will raise the back end, dont be goin mad though as too high and it can give you instability at high speed also the bike will lean even further over on what is already a rather short side stand.
I'm lookin at raising mine as it tends to run wide in bends i'm hopin it will sharpen it up a little. |

Hi Si, do you have a hand book as seem to remember there are soem static figures in there. If not will try to remember to dig mine out. Good starting point anyway. |

In fact , found it, spring preload 149mm, distance between fitting points 315mm. |

These bikes are to old to trust the factory setting to much. The best way to check for enough preload is the static sag setting. Its the most accurate way to ensure preload is correct. Remember, increasing preload does not make for a stiffer ride, it just adjusts the point at which the spring starts to compress. _________________ Pomps

Thanks for that.
No I dont appear to have the origional manual. But found a generic ohlins manual on line.
Founf figures on the site for rebound damping but not compression. The comression damping adjuster seems a bit wooly, cant realy feel the clicks from on position to the next. |
