Hi Si, there are several threads on here re insurance, I use Footman James as they classify Bimotas as being "classic" from 10 years old and not the usual 15 like some insurers. I have 6 bikes on with them on a collective "classics" policy, 2 named riders, unlimited European cover, breakdown/recovery/legal, and all under 300squid. All depends on location and age of rider though I suppose as usual

We really should be a bit more practical and logical as to derive some discount by getting an insurer on board. I note in the recent Classic and Pratical Mechanics that the "Bimota Enthusiasts" club/website is still listed in their back page guide. Perhaps time to set them straight, get the Forum on there

How old is the SB8R? Footman James classifies all Bimotas over 10 years old as "classic" so maybe worth a punt, normally its 15 years.
