Well, returned from the TT. Only 1 really soggy day but thats the TT. Good to meet up with Pete Madplankton at the end of the week, shame the mountain was shut (again) for a run over and to pick his local knowledge. Picci below for Oily Looking forward to next year with 2bims and Vort. I think mine was the only visiting Bim this year

I only got 2 runs over the mountain the whole TT (every attempt the road was closed because of lemmings ) !
Still at least it's there on the doorstep...
Good to meet up with you Nige! Hopefully next time will have a bit more time to have a proper run... _________________ C'est moi! |

Damn i would love to get over there for the IOM one year, on one of the other bike forums i belong to there was a great thread, it even included a pic of a YB9, anyone know this bike
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18859728&postcount=141
It is well worth having a look at the rest of the thread as well, just click the thread title in the top right hand corner. _________________ Cheers

mate of mine who lives there was saying that usually you can get a seat in the grandstand even on race week. This year it was booked up weeks before. 11000 bikes I think he said this year. they reckon the 'closer to the edge' film has really pushed the tourism this year _________________ 03 YB11, 03 Aprilia RSVR Edwards, 94 Ducati Superlight III, 95 Honda NC30, 04 Ducati 999S, 91 kawasaki KR1-S C2, 91 Ducati 851 USD Strada, 89 ZXR750H1, 90 ZXR400H1, 205 16v Rally Car, A6 2.7TDI Avant, STM R1 engined Phoenix |

yes it was full. However it didnt seem to be as busy as the last couple of years as more came for practice week from what I saw. They also open ferry booking at start of practice week and the grandstand seats which I believe are booked up for next year already! Ferries were also full for a lot of sailings. Luckily mine, Vort28, 2bims and Vorts bro are safely booked with accomodation 49 weeks to go!!!
ps digs are at top of hill for Vort to bumpstart his Bims!!!! |
