Does anyone know if 2006 SB8K Santamonica and 2006 SB8K Gobert have same brakes? From what I am reading 2006 SB8K Santamonica seems to have somewhat different brake rotors and brake pads then 2006 SB8K Gobert. Looking at the Brembo website I get completely stupid results. Gobert is listed as 1000cc bike but Santamonica is listed under 1100cc Rolling Eyes

04-06 Bimota SB8K Gobert
http://brembopads.com/En/Discs/Discs_Catalogue_Search.aspx?SearchBrand=BIMOTA&SearchCC=1000&SearchModel=SB8K GOBERT&SearchYear=04>06
list front rotors as either part number 108200384 (Genuine - OEM??) or 78B40870 (Serie Oro)

04+ Bimota SB8K Santamonica
http://brembopads.com/En/Discs/Discs_Catalogue_Search.aspx?SearchBrand=BIMOTA&SearchCC=1100&SearchModel=SB8K SANTAMONICA&SearchYear=04>
list front rotors as either part number 108200370 (Genuine - OEM??) or 78B40870 (Serie Oro)

The only difference in rotors I can see is that Gobert 108200370 (Genuine - OEM??) are same thickness as Serie Oro. Santamonica's Genuine rotors are 0.5mm thinner but Serie Oro is same as Gobert.

As for the brake Pads Brembo lists
07BB19 Compound CC (L 75.1 x H 55.55 x Th 8.7) for Both bikes. That would equate to EBC FA244HH. Unfotunately some eBay sellers list brake pads as FA322/4HH which are a lot smaller and in my understanding would not fit.

So, basically if someone knows please confirm what brake pads EBC, Galfer or Braking did you use.

Also based on my research the front rotor replacement that can be used is Galfer DF883 or EBC MDX621

Almost forgot. If anyne has info on comparable sprockets Front and Rear that would be awesome as well

Any info that can confirm or disprove my findings would be appreciated

Not too sure about the Santa as I don't own one, but my thoughts are that the Gobert is always found with standard brembo goldline as per SB8RS/SB8R and numerous ducatis plus Benelli Tornado, Cagiva Raptor etc etc.

The Santa generally has radial brakes therefore probably different pads ???

If I am not mistaken the Gobert has the 4pot 2 pad goldline brakes like the SB8R and all Bimota's before it and 916/748 era stuff
.

The SM has the radials which take the same pads as the later 4 pad Brembo goldlines ala 999 ducati's/ Aprilia etc

Thanks. Those look like an Aprilia/Ducati calipers and definitely not Radial
