Does anyone know how remove these stupid mirrors? These clip-on mirrors are pain in the b*tt to remove. It would be much easier if they would have screws like every other bike. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Other peoples Very Happy

These are the same as the SB6 / Ducati 916 (style) ??? If so undo the central retaing bolt and move the mirror from the back and rock it forwards so you work the rear out first. Wiggle it up and down a bit and the front should slip outt too.
They can be tricky but use a firm hand and they should come free. Sometimes the bracing struts can be out of line which makes them stiff.

Thanks for the tip. I will try it. I want to come up with a better solution for replacing useless OEM mirrors

Most folk go for a "mirror extension' little alloy block turned up to the same size as the end of the mirror, that pushes the mirror a further inch or so out and thus clears looking at your elbows all the time

Falcolion - don't know if you have taken the bodywork or the mirrors off yet, but the stuff on mine was very tight. The nose cone/ clock mounting bracket is adjustable,( bolt on the horizontal tube running from headstock to clocks), slacken this and slide rearward, this will release the pressure off the bodywork/mirrors. Makes removal alot easier. Not sure why this is done, or maybe mine was just adjusted badly, but first time I removed fairing was a nightmare.

It's probably done to stress the fairing so it acts as a skin (stressed member)
