Yes, I know. It's not allowed to "improve" a bimota but I am getting older and I like te ride my bikes all day long. So don't shoot me but I have converted my tesi1d to a superbike steer. It's mutch more usable now for everyday riding (that's what i do). I can convert it back to original in half an hour.

Yes indeed and welcome, no need to worry about "Purists" they are few and far inbetween on this Forum, we believe in if it maybe broke then fix it. And if your conversion means you ride it then all the better, keep up the good work, we don't do museum piece on here, ride them, fix them and ride some more. One post, with pictures, Top Marks Laughing

2bims: allmost correct about the orange beast. It's an 950s with an 990 smt engine with carbs.
Next question: can you tell what's standing outside on the first picture (hint: is't allso italian)

Seeing as he's a "newbie" GeeKay, perhaps you should explain what C3PO is, may not translate to dutch, and then he'll know why you want him to stick around

Can anyone advise me on how I can put my new Tesi 3D handle bars to the "B" position as shown in the picture. I loosen the bolt at "A" till it comes out but I can't seem to "flatten" or move the handlebar to the horizontal position to get a better riding position. Thanks very much.

Is bolt A not the bolt that holds the clip on to the forks? If you were to take the clip on tube itself off , but leaving the clamp on the fork, is there another bolt inside the clamp that hold the tube for adjusting angle etc? I've had similar things like this before and for neatness the bolt could be hidden?

Thanks 2bims. This is a Tesi 3D so there is no forks that go down to the axle. A should just hold the clip on to the horizontal handlebar piece.

I loosened "A", applied force to the clip-on handle bar and there is no movement. I used a mirror and looked around the brake reservoir, under the clip-on but there's nothing. It should just move but it doesn't?!

The bike's very new - 10km old.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Yeh of course mate, theres no forks, Doh, Try PM'ing Waggy here on the Forum, heres his Tesi 3D restoration thread
http://www.bimotaforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1866

Seems to be the same clip on fixing, and at least his bike is in bits at the moment so perhaps easy for him to see what you need to do. Best of luck
