I think thats a good way of having a bike. Why change it every year when you can spend less money, loose none and keep your pride enjoy. Newer is nice but better is, well, better. Wink

What ' tuning' has your db4 had this year bimototo?
Just ordered some je pistons and corrillo rods for mine, plus lightened clutch and flywheels, hopefully will get around to fitting them and following heads at the end of the year.

so, this year I've redo completly the wiring,
redo the dash complement (I have a translogic), I've adapt the single seat monocoque.
and I've also build the exahust can support and the mirror support.
I've change mirror and rearlight (both with integrated turn signal) and reaction rod (titanium and carbonfiber).
finally, I've do the box for the oil vapor with silicon hose (what the name in english???).

already present:

light flywhell (1.2kg 0.8 is too much)
light clutch (everything)
racing radiator
single filter (no airbox)
complete exaust system (50mm hand made from a very famous artesan)
translogic microdash
refluxed and polished head and valves
frame and swingarm mirror polished (by myself)
evr clutch piston
pwc2 with fine tuning on a test desk (maybe is not the right translation)
rearset with regulation
light battery (racingbatteries.un)
ergal levers
doublebubbles windscreen
finally I've remove all the unuseful matters (screw, wire, support) Very Happy

maybe I've forget something.....

for the next year........mmmh 4valvles?????Very Happy

Crank case oil breather I guess to a external filter?

Dyno is the translation you are looking for.

I forgot yours was an IE.
Think we are about even on the chassis side, although I have replaced the wheels, and as many bolts possible with alloy or titanium, but still have the stock headers with the corse titanium can.
Hopefully this time next year I will be about the same as you with the engine.
Thought about putting a 848 motor in myself, but decided that would just cost to much and possible spoil the character of the bike. Went for the high comp pistons etc I will try to leave the mods alone after the engine and concentrate on one of the others. Hopefully.
Will have to get around to wieghing mine, as would like to get into the 150's wet also.

take care! the 848 maybe do not fin (rear cylinder us to hight!)

in my opinion hp us like money (never enough) but you're right, us a really short bike and tool much hp risk to make she too nervous.....
for me the right engine for a db4 chassis is the one of an St4, us enough to replace the flywheel Wink

my idea us to buy an used st4 (there's a lot at a good price), switch the engine, and built a cafè racer with my engine and the st4 chassis Wink
