OK.... I have been sort of inspired to build another possible project... How much would a V Due Motor go for? How hard is it to find one???
OK I know they are not the most powerful things... But I know it should fit into the chassis I have lined up...... lol... |

I know I can use a big bore long stroke RD350LC based engine but they make the power in the wrong way they have a flat torque curve and just dont rev out in the same way. I want something that keeps the 2 stroke kick in the pants and will keep that GP bike look and feel. |

No.... That is why I am regretting asking.... But the Honda NS/RVF hybrid will be out of my way soon..... So I may not have time but will have space for another bike to gather dust for a few years........ |

V4 500 would be good if it didnt upset the chassis I have.... RG500 square fours get used but they put too much weight further forward and the bike just doesnt handle like it should due to the longer engine and the twin cranks.... RD500 V4 is just too heavy and under powered.... I want to keep it 250cc sized but having more power and something resembling a 2 stroke power band would be good.
Here is why.....

Why not just bore the motor out, seen a write up on a 400/430cc aprilia the other month in PB I think it was.
Other than that, Piero would be the man for the motor. |

Have a 300cc kit being made right now... But after watching a pair of NSR500V's at Donnington the other week.. I think a 500cc engine would help ease the smaller engine being out dragged on the straights by 1000cc bikes. It will however make slower corners a challenge with its lightswitch power band......
I have been in contact with Piero.... lol..... |
