Just spent a couple of hours, In a last ditch attempt, to get the 6R running sweet.
When I say last ditch, I mean If i couldn't get it running I was going to break it which would be a shame as it has only got 1500 k on the clock.
Any way, I thought I would start with the basics, The spark. I pulled the plug caps off one by one and using a ratty old plug, earthed to the engine casing, turned the engine over. Good spark on all four, cant be the coils and leads then. Must be the carbs shitted up again.
Wait, In the interests of doing this properly, better check the new iridium plugs I put in to run it on the dyno. Pulled them out and tested them one by one. All four were Fu**ed. Stuck the original, ratty plugs back in and it fired up first time and runs sooooo sweet.
Bloody fu**ing Bast**d iridium plugs. Only done about 2 miles on the dyno and they pack up. Worst £40 I've ever spent.
At least I've got two running Bims again Very Happy
Now on to the next project to finish off Wink
