I have a 91 YB10 and it's developed a problem. When it is started cold it runs great. After about 15 minutes once everything is hot the bike begins to stumble when you come to a stop. The idle is very rough and the bike usually stalls when I attempt to pull out from a stop. I've had the carburetor cleaned and checked/adjusted but the problem persists. Can anyone suggest where to look from here?
Thanks! |

Have you changed the fuel filter. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Carbs cleaned and adjusted, fuel filter replaced, and spark plugs replaced. Almost seems like an electrical issue. Perhaps something breaking down under the heat. Just looking for suggestions. Anyone have any ideas? |

Change the plugs. One foul plug and you'll get those symptoms...fingers crossed. _________________ Pomps

The sidestand spring seems fine. As far as it pulls the stand back rapidly.
But I'll have a look and let you know. |

I'd go with possible HT leads, bad connection, unscrew each end for the plug caps and if you have spare length trim the ends of and remake the joins, as the plug caps simply screw into the bare wire ends and perhaps one of them just isn't making a proper connection, thus intermittent spark, but if after running you could check this by pulling the plugs and seeing if any are wet with uncombusted fuel? |
