Might play around with that for another time. Its good enough to ride around now and with new rubber on will be fine. The best thing is I still have some adjustment in the front preload which last bike was 0. I could not stop it washing out and maxed out the stiffness. Ooer missus. In the end a went for heavier oil but really should have had it resprung and valved. Once the new rubber is on I'll push it harder yet to see how it goes, although a good road setting is all I will need. _________________ Pomps

I remember back in the day when we adjusted the pre-load with shims/spacers on top of the springs.......now we've gone all modern and girl like with "adjusters" and all sorts of exotic, racer style stuff that most of us will never use _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Coincidently, to show my point.....
Here is the standard (?) spacer in the SB6 forks......
...to adjust the pre-load just use thicker/thinner spacers _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)
