Ive not had a bike for ages, i went to look at a yb11 and ended up buying simon baileys old bike, chassis number 409, 02 plate. Im happy with the purchase, it was'nt running right. I changed the plugs, looked like they had been in there for ever. I stripped and cleaned carbs now sweet as a nut. Any upgrades or mods you can advise ? especially the airbox. Any advise of you lads would be greatly appreciated. Also this bike seems to have passed through many hands, has anyone any information on its history. Got a nice reply from reg lock. Not been able to contact simon. Thanks again Roy54

welcome Roy. No mods on my YB11 - if you can ride it to its limit you deserve a medal Smile Only issue I had was with a stuck exup valve in the exhaust, and like you , in need of a good service.

Welcome to the forum Roy, dont worry about the number of keepers, its very common for older Bims and they often change hands quickly. Best advise is to do as you have and treat it to full service and enjoy it as is to find out what it can do ....

Welcome to the bad house.
You are about mid way between me and Nige. His YB is standard apart from the clock I think (electric Bimota clocks are not very reliable).
Mine has the early mechanical clocks but heavily modified everything else. Any questions , ask away.I'm just outside Southport.

Starting is not the issue, its keeping the thing running thats the issue.
I like having bikes that are challenging to start. Why would you want to go to the garage knowing what bike you are going to ride out on ??? Well unless your Oily, and then you can guarentee it will be an SB6 Laughing
