There seems to be a few of us on here now, I wondered what people thought might be on trying to arrange a get together at some point this year, I know we're all in different parts of the country but maybe we could all meet up at some point?
Maybe a weeks riding in Tasmania? |

It's a great idea, but i've gotta be honest. I don't think i could ride a bimota that far. I've just got home from a 8500 klm trip but i was on my VTX1800. Easy to do big miles and carry gear on a cruiser, but i don't think i'd make it on a bim. Still a good idea but _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I am tending to agree with others. A track day yes and possibly meet at PI Supers in Feb ??? but doubt my back would handle tourng on the YB6. _________________ YB6, Gilera Saturno, Guzzi Lemans Mk1, KTM 640 Advenutre, Honda CB900FC |

Just done 550km in one day on my SB4, should get feeling back in my bum in a week or 2. Supers in Feb sounds pretty good for us Victorian folk but its a long way for those not in the state. I think we all agree they aren't set up to tour on.

Rod,
I've met the guys at the dealership in Brunswick but haven't used them to buy anything yet. They seem to be good guys who sell really good motorcycles. |

|
|
I am looking for some guidance and help from our Aussie members......
In July we are moving to Australia after 12 years in the Middle East, and I am looking to bring my SB8RS and a few other bits with me. The bike and spare parts will be shipped from the UK.
I have done a little investigating on what is required but still have some unanswered questions:
- Was the SB8R/SB8RS registered as an official model for sale in Australia?
- Is there an official Bimota importer?
- Is there an importer that specialises in importing bikes from outside of Australia........even specialising in imports from Europe?
If there is a company that can handle everything from UK to Australia even better.
I still have a few months to get things sorted, but the sooner the better as we have loads of other stuff to get organised as well.
Any feed back from anyone anywhere will be well received............
Ian

Nighters,
I don't know much but I'll let you know my thoughts anyway. I have seen an SB8r in Oz and I'm fairly sure they imported them but can't be certain. You may have to get the bike tested so that it complies with our "Design Rules" and that is not cheap. See this link to our customs area, http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4371.asp#2ndHandVechicle
One thing I do know, make sure it is absolutely spotless everywhere, our Quarantine people are extremely finnicky about any dirt, dust etc.
I can make some inquiries for you if you wish?
Cheers and good luck with the move. |

It sounds like a few of you guys will be in Melbourne for the Suppers so I think a get together is a good idea. _________________ Bimota kitted Z1, KB2tt, HB2, HB3, HB4, DB1, DB3, YB4ei, YB5x2, YB6ei, YB7, YB8, YB9sri ex works racer, YB10, YB11, Tesi 1D 904 |
