Welcome to the forum Rod. I am sure you'll get help down there from someone. More ex convicts post on this site then brits. Only problem they have is the distance between owners! _________________ Pomps

G'day Rod,
Welcome to the forum mate. There's plenty of great info here and good advice at hand. I recently did a bike trip to Phillip Island and a lot of touring on the way home. I called in and met Alan from the Bimota dealership 'FX Motorsprt' in Melbourne while i was down there. Alan is a genuine bloke and seems very helpful.
Good luck with the purchase of your db6r. Is it the one that's been on bikesales.com for a while? Post some pics when you get a chance.
Cheers,

Depends what sort of bits you're looking for really Rod. I haven't bought any parts from Alan from FX as yet but he seemed confident that he could source most parts. Ebay is always worth a look. And you'll get lots of ideas from this forum too.
Congrats on the purchase mate. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Just wondering how does your DB6 run mine seems a little on the lean side a bit of backfire on a closed throttle after giving it a few revs also the plugs are very light in colour in info would be appreciated.

Have a look at the routing for the fuel pipes, they might be restricted or have a slight kink _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Hi Rod. Glad to see another Aussie on the forum. I see there are a few of us on the member list. Not sure how many are active still.

Hi Brian, did you ride your SB6 down to Phillip island for the GP? We were in our hire car on the way off the Island and got pased by a SB6. Didn't see another Bimota for the whole weekend. I rode my SB6r to the island in 2002. |
