Me too - will be going to the pre season tests and the GP at Jerez. Looking forward to seeing Marquez (the bowling ball) get in on the action with Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Rossi, etc!

I don't think he has a bad attitude as such. He suffers from not being Rossi. Stoner is a bike racer not a PR man or a politician. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

I think there's a lot that happens behind the scenes. We only see what the press wants us to see. I believe Stoner is still the best motorcycle racer on the planet at this time and he's the only one to be successful on the Ducati. I believe the sport is worse off without him. Why should he be called a moaner for stating what he believes and saying it how he sees it? _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Your not wrong there Brian, he could certainly ride the tits off a doochatee
As for the press....well your probably right but I've never seen him do anything but whinge. whinge about the track, whinge about the conditions, whinge about the other riders and why? he always won.
..Did they ever get to the bottom of why he doesn't want to play anymore? _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

When you see a lot of riders being interviewed, it's obvious that they're not saying what they are really feeling. Too much nansy pansy fucking bullshit, too worried about being politically correct and bad publicity. Stoner says it like he sees it. He could have kept riding for another 5 years and made a squillion dollars, but he's obviously got the shits with all the bullshit. I think having a family played a part in it too.
Bottom line is, you've got to be happy doing what you're doing or it's not worth doing it i suppose _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
