....Just got back from the powder coaters.....
these wheels were in not too good condition with peeling paint and lacquer, sort of polished rims (polished with a brick I think).
instructions were obviously lost in black country accents
I asked for them to be blasted and given a "nice shiny coat of silver".
Impeccable job as usual but he must have thought i said a "nice coat of shiny silver".
...Bit gangsta bling but I'm liking them. It's a colour called chrome silver.
Cross between polished alloy and chrome I guess.
Now to start building them up and then the search begins for some "Antera" stickers...Any leads? _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Any good graphics place should be able to help you with the domed Antera badges Rob, I can take a pic if you need one of the Antera logo etc, but sure you've got half a dozen other sets inya hoard.

Pomps...knew you'd like um
Daz...just had a look at a couple of pairs of Antera's, both different, neither domed type, are yours?
My 6R Antera's has foil type that sit in cut outs on the wheel............
...While the only 6 on Antera's has just plain old stickers on plain old rims...
...So that's two different types so far. The wheels I'm refurbishing has the cut outs on the rim...

...Here we go, Speedo drive side bearing in, speedo drive ring in, new seal in and the 3 rubber grommets in....
....Flip the wheel over...
The spacer tube has two different diameter ends and will not go in from the speedo side.....
....Spacer tube and bearing pressed in, just the Antera valve to fit and that's the front wheel done except for Antera stickers ....

Sorry Rob, maybe sent you a curved ball, was from memory that they were the domed type, thinking back to when I had the front wheel sorted on what is now your SB6-R. Would have bet and lost money they were the domed gel type affairs. Will take a look on the 6R here too though, as a guide.

If the logo went the other way round it would be the same way as the tyres - just a thought _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

...and moving on.......
Rear wheel...In with the bearing, cush drive rubbers and Antera valve. Don't forget the big cir-clip...
...Flip it over...
In with the 3 gommets...
Spacer tube is the same both ends so it can go in either way...
...There we go, all done...
...

....And now, the before....
....and after pictures.....
....I now have these Antera wheels sat in my garage surplus to requirements so if anyone needs a pair or wants to exchange their scruffy pair, you know what to do.
If anyone needs a pair of wheels refurbished, give me a shout . _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)
