I have spent a week working on my little yb7 and had a very nice surprise! I had adjusted the ride height on the shock to max but the problem was an aftermarket spring which was way to soft for my butt. So, got an ohlins spring to suit fat buggers and refurbed the shock. In doing so I discovered the linkage pivot from swing arm to the bottom of the shock had a really useful length adjustment in it. It was fully out so I shortened it to the max which brought the swing arm closer and downward thus pushing the back end up. Perfect balance achieved with the right spring which meant I can soften the damping which had to compensate. Question is chaps, do all the older yb's have this suspension linkage adjustment? _________________ Pomps

Still trying a couple of options. Nothing firm yet, but when it is then I will get it on a rolling road to sort the carbs out. She has been running rich forever looking at the old exhaust deposits. _________________ Pomps

I think the YB11 does, I was thinking of doing the same for the NC30, essentially I'm going to lower the back a little on that as the Ohlins on it back it sit a little too high _________________ 03 YB11, 03 Aprilia RSVR Edwards, 94 Ducati Superlight III, 95 Honda NC30, 04 Ducati 999S, 91 kawasaki KR1-S C2, 91 Ducati 851 USD Strada, 89 ZXR750H1, 90 ZXR400H1, 205 16v Rally Car, A6 2.7TDI Avant, STM R1 engined Phoenix |

Joking aside , the adjustable link is so simple in design it would be very easy to do for the 400. I am away at the moment but I'll take a pic of it when I get back at the end of the month. _________________ Pomps
