Sad

Can understand why , but maybe next year.
The vdue is far better than some Bimota's at cruising believe me . The old yb11 was designed by a 1 legged 7ft dwarf I think as the ergonomics are completely screwed up !!

Noticed the smaller front indicators , and fitted some LED's to mine over the w/e too. Maybe a bit biased but for a 16yr old bike the vdue's really do seem to have timeless style, or maybe its just my era/age !!
Have owned/ridden a few modern Bimota's recently and they are just soulless , just don't seem to have the same character as the 90's/early 2k stuff.

Looking good. Yes you really have throw all you know about riding in the bin. Generally halve your braking distance and square the corners off a la motoGP style or you find the front wheel leaves the Tarmac mid bend as you put the power down. A track day really gets your head around it Smile Smile

Cheers, I was thinking about the track day thing as well. Ive never moved myself around on a bike (on the road) as much as I did at the weekend. Its a completely different prospect to a big 4 stroke. Defo the best place to learn the bike will be on a track. I'll get the Calendar out.........

Haa... the only thing i have in common with Stoner is that we're both Aussies! Would love to join you chaps for a track day. The closest track to me is 1000 klm's away. Hoping to do some track days next year

A couple of questions.......

Any advice on the best brake pads? Maybe mine aren't bedded in yet, but they seem to lack bite.....

Also, what levers fit? I'm sure they are the same as another bike.

Thanks,

John.

Cheers for that Vort...but its bareback riding or nothing for me....No dual compounds necessary, no scrubbing in required, and the track edges always seem to be pre warmed up...Do you remember those days/day?? Laughing

Levers are 916 duc from memory.check you have standard pads, mine will stand the bike on its nose with 2 fingers on the lever

Cheers Nige,

It was a surprise with the brakes, especially with the low weight...... Might try to scuff up the pads, and try again.

I'll second Nige on the brake front, dont have any issues with power and feel on the vdue.
Levers are standard gold line fit, think most Duc/Aprillia/Benelli will fit .
