DB5 barrel is a ducati one I think but key is without electrics as no immobiliser fitted to Bimota ECU but I know Ducati blank keys fit. Do you/Pomp's have the ecu/loom ? If not I would just go for a complete Ducati ecu/loom and save the pain.

Cheers Vort. May go down that route but the whole loom is in position so sure Steve will find a solution. He sorted the ducati front end for me and is fabricating a rear subframe and doing all the fiddley stuff like spacers and shims for wheels , brakes etc etc. here is our latest mock up with the radical ducati seat and nose on. Not exact position but close enough to give you an idea. It feels amazingly light and will be running on daytime mot so wont get much heavier!

Can't find anything on the barrel other than the name, ZADI, same make as fuel cap barrel.
I guess this is who makes Ducati.

I know Bimota bought the engine from Ducati (I saw the nude engine in Bimota) but it is possibile the fuel injection switch may be different, as like ECU.
If you have Pegaso ECU I am little bit sure it hasn't the immobilezer.

Are you radicalize the DB5? Wink

for the fuel cap I saw this in an italian forum (daidegas) http://www.daidegasforum.com/forum/bimota-benelli-moto-guzzi-triumph-ecc/368135-info-bimota-db5-1000-a-2.html

"Il mio è della Lightech ma non so se lo fanno ancora.
Comunque è identico a quello della TWM.
Informati prima di acquistare, quello di serie è il classico Zadi per Ducati..."

I translate for you:
"my fuel cap is Lightech but I don't know if they makeit yet. It is equal to TWM model. Inform yourself before to buy it, the original model is tha classic Zadi for Ducati..."

I hope to do not so many mistakes Smile

Not sure on colours . Probably run the silver from tank to front and back with white number boards and red trim?

Looking great pomps. So can you guys register a bike for day time riding only?? That would be great. In Aus you can only register a bike with full lights, mirrors etc.

Cheers brian, its all coming together nicely with the help of Steve at BBB Fabrications. No lights at all and no mirrors as I bought one of those Reevu rear view helmets we discussed on another thread. Its works really well and is super comfy and quiet. So now no mirrors on the DB2 or my 888's...
