The standard FAG brand bearing allows variable rake angle to be used. You only need to change the top spacer (make progressivly offset ones) The bearings (barrel shape) will automatically align.
neat idea aye.
Insert is a piece of cake to make & press in the race.

Glen

trying to work out what the top spacer is. Do you have a part nos or able to describe in more detail? Looking to reduce the rake on my Yb10.

Thanks

I agree about keeping them original too,the bodywork was purely for use on track,i've done a couple of track days recently and the thought of me throwing my bike down the tarmac and wrecking the plastics has stopped me from giving it 100% Twisted Evil

Also looking for YB10 race fairings. The stuff in the states is nice but expensive. Any ideas on what could do the job?

Presume it's the same system as the SB.....Bimota's simple adjustment system.....offset spacers for the bearing to sit in. HTH Wink

Hi, I have some of these bearings in stock. I used to work primarily on Bimota's and serviced pretty much all Bimota's into the UK between 1994-1998, and therefore have many parts still in stock.
The reason you are finding it so hard to find the bearings is because FAG did not actually produce bearings for Bimota and Bimota had to have these specially ordered and produced.

I have 9 in stock if people are interested?

Let me know

Regards

Hi

Many years ago I was told that the steering head bearings used were shared with a Mercedes truck

All the best
