|
|
I have hit a major hurdle in bringing my YB9sr to road worthiness. The wave washers on the front disc bobbins have corroded away as have half of the circlips.
As this bike has Marchesini rims, the front which has 90mm wide hub centre, so the discs need the 30mm(?) offset carriers. Many photos on the web show bikes with the same discs, yet I can not find them.
Are there other Bimota models with the same disc? some DB2 were the same but I can not source any with the required offset.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction? _________________ When they said it could not be done, I went ahead and did it anyway! |

hi
ebay, but very expensive and only sends to Germany:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/111038623191?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649
Armin Schneider:
http://bimota-teile.de/Bimota/index.html
click on Ersatzteile on teh left, then click on Bimota Bremsscheiben
also expensive 339 euros each.
Menani:
http://www.menani.it/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=5827&category_id=248&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1
240 each for floaters
215 for fixed
or you can just buy the bobbins, search the site for suppliers
good luck
and please check application before buying anything, but as far as I know there is only one offset for the 320mm discs.
