They did a similar version in the db7 , not the all carbon Oronero , but a half way house with black frame. But then again all DB7 and DB8SP's have carbon bodywork anyway, just painted.

Anyway , congrads on having great taste in motorbikes, and don't take this the wrong way but I HATE YOU Shocked

Sure looks Purtty.....Did hate you a lot to start with as I thought it was the DB8 Carbon Nero...with carbon frame and swingarm..but phew...."just" the black painted frame and swingarm..........Looks a well stocked dealer...i see in one of the shots theres a Db5R in the background...what price was he after for that one????

No it's not an oronero , bike was pre built but if I was setting the spec and having it built for me I honestly don't think I'd have gone for the full carbon ,

The bike is pretty much perfect for me , just can't wait for delivery Smile

If you have any pics at all of the bike I'd realy appreciate them , I like to know the background and history of my vehicles ,

The bike was originally built to promote the brand etc some say for alan personally , some say for fx , I think it is a nice in between for the SP and oro , no idea what price they were asking for a "carbon signature " but they obviously didn't sell , that good for me tho . Alan did say it was offered at $75k Ozzie but wether that was sales spin or not I don't know , did it have a price tag on at motogp ???

Do like the new style and shape 5 spoke OZ gold rims...not seen them before, nice change from the standard 6 spokes...also a few other details...Bimota 'b" logo'd Clutch slave cylinder...another new addition I've not seen before....May be a bit early yet...but you must be looking for some link pipes so you can throw the cat box away and get the engine sound that it should be making.... De cat pipe is around $1000 , but I'm lucky as I can make exhausts , might get the real deal if I can negotiate a price or ill get some materials and make one up ,

It's my first bimota so unsure as to what's "standard" and what extra trick goodies are bolted on , once the bike is in my grubby hands ill know a lot more ,

From Internet searches , and theirs not a lot of info out there , I see SP's with normal clutch , dry clutches and slipper clutches , mine has the STM bimota one but would this have been an optional extra when built or do all SP's come with the slipper clutch ?

Many more questions that I will be asking in the near future

Each and every Bimota can differ from the next one made...either because a customer specifies so...because they change suppliers...or just whatever they have lying around...that DB8 of yours has a Bimota stamped Clutch pressure plate (by STM...an italian company) and as you cant see the clutch springs then this one is a slipper clutch...not standard...some people love them...some hate them (not because its STM...just because its a slipper clutch) Wont sway you either way though..will let you try and come to your own conclusions....

Like u say some love some don't , i didn't get on at all with my old TL1000r v twin , it had a slipper but still to torquey for my riding style I'm
So used to 4's , a slipper and modern one at that will defiantly benefit me , the bike also has the 200hp ecu flash so it over fuels and rides more like a 4 cylinder , again the bike was built exactly as I would have wanted it if I ordered it especially for me .

Alegidly front forks are up rated , it can only be internals but pining alan down to a spec and how they are up rated from what the sp usually has is difficult . He says I shouldn't worry about things like that and should just enjoy the bike ..... Hmmmmmm I'm a anorak for the detail and it's bugging me !
