A really good start for the Bimota BB3 !
I hope this will help them to find the money to build the bikes.
Maybe at a price that we can afford to buy them...

It may also give some of the commentators time to learn that its BimotA and not BimotO.....not normally so picky...but in the light of Mr Tamburinis recent passing...they could at least get his part of Bimota correct.........
I realise they arent allowed to gain points...but they actually show them as "not finishing" which is a bit harsh...you'd think the Computer could give them the place even if no points.........and what happended to Cristian in the second race? he dropped from the listings 3/4 through the second race but nobody seemed to pick up what happened?
But overall...glad to see them giving it a creditable go.........given its their first race...well done |

would mess up the scoring system, as putting Badovani into 13th place in the race 1 results table would mean that the 14th placed finisher gets 13th place points and so on...............
but - not a bad start to racing - a 12th & 13th for Badovani isn't too shabby. What happened to the MV, which only managed 6 laps over 2 races ? _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

Oh come on...we're in the days of computers...wouldnt take much to give them a place but no points...rather than showing last or DNF.....MV Agusta had an engine seize...as did Buell.....from what little they told us.....one fortunate thing with Bimota is they dont have to make their own engines...if it aint broke.....dont fix it....... |

I think the results from first two races are excellent... second in first race and third in second race in EVO class. _________________ Bimota DB7, Bimota DB5 Mille, Ducati 916, Ducati M900, Benelli Tornado Tre |

Agreed fantastic results for the first race, especially with very limited testing. They look like doing quite well at this weekend in Assen as well.
I think it's helping that they are being run by Alstare, who are a proven race and championship winning team. With the class going evo next year I don't want to get my hopes up too much but things look really good.
I thought this was a really interesting quote from the team as well. “Our objective is build 20 EVO bikes for clients, and they will have the same specification as our bike. We aim to sell these at 40,000 euros, but the final price will depend on what options the customer chooses. The first one will be the result of the development of our own bike - we want to make sure the EVO bike our client buys is perfect. These bikes will be built in our own workshops, in Belgium, and we hope to have the first one ready for sale from 1st September this year.” |

Well...would have been an EVO Class win and third for Badovinni and Iddon in the second race today...if they were homologated.....and a second in the first race for Iddon....dont know what happened to Badovinni...seemed to dissappear out of the classifications after the first lap........But certainly doing well outgunning the BMW's, Ducatis and Kawasakis...to name but a few in what is only their third run out this year..lets hope they have the money and stamina to keep going......and lets hope the Factory can find customers....and find dealers to start selling their bikes.......... |

| Great results from a thoroughly wet qualifying session at Donington Park today by Bimota.......Badovinni and Idden finishing 1st and 3rd in EVO qualifying in the session outside of the big boys....unfortunately Baddovini binned it after his fast last and should have gone through to the last qualifying session to compete for the top 12 spots...but didnt come out to play...and unfortuantely he knocked Idden out of a chance also with only the top 2 going through....but at least they are 12th and 13th on the grid...heading uop the EVO class and in front of some non evo bikes also..... |

Good results again from the Bimota Boys...idden unfortunately slid out in the first race....but Baddovinni would have "won" the evo class in race one and 2 if they were homolgated...and Idden would have been second in the evo class in the second race....with Bado finishing 8th overall...Havent kept a complete "tally" of points...seeing as they cant amass any...but pretty sure Baddovinni would be topping the EVO class so far despite missing the first race and lack of testing..........so Bimota just need 300 buyers of their BB3's...or around 9miilion GBP in sales...come on guys...get your wallets out and help out......... |

Yeh I heard that Badovini was booked in for the next Bucking Bronco Rodeo...he showed some determination in holding on long after the normal getting off point..........
Scarey at what the cost would be to run such a team.....2 bikes down at Donington...and at the last race Idden was asked after his high speed "off" whether the bike would be ready for the race and he said " Well I suppose it depends if they can find it...as I dont know where its gone"....as the bike had jumped the perimeter fence and off into obscurity.... |

wait, the time is over, but Lavilla can't do a visit in Bimota Factory before 27th August, BMW will open its factory at 25th August. Bimota has time for complete the iter. The only one difficult is the BMW engine, not all of the engine arrived in Bimota _________________ http://bcomebimota.blogspot.it/ |
