Unfortunatly not as mine's been choped off inside and out, filled with resin and used as a plug to fill the hole 
Being as it's a flat bottom tank, it was sort of like a float that moved up and down a central shaft, when it was at the bottom of the shaft (empty tank) it earthed and lit up the low fuel light.
I'll see if I can find a picture in the manuals and parts lists |

Only a SB6R which of course shows a different part number.....

I found that from bimota-parts.de, who have a pdf of the SB7 parts list that also cover much of the SB6.
As it is just a switch I will check later for a circuit diag to see what might be useable! |

Okay here goes (idea only as I can't find any more info - sorry!)...
...how many wires does it have? I'm assuming if it's a switch then it will just have two. Easily checked by finding the socket on the main harness. If so, and you bridge this, then the light should come on.
If it's just a float-on-a-stick, then something like this might work:

Sure, it's supposed to be an oil level sender, but works the same and there are several more on fleabay that are similar, so might be worth a punt of a fiver Just search for 'oil level sender' in Motorcycle Parts & Accessories and take your pick.
Alternatively it may be a thermistor, in which case Yamaha use a straight sensor that might be workable:

Definatly a two wire float on a stick. (Switch)
I've been looking at those oil level senders for a while but wanted to exhaust all possibilites of the genuine article first |
