I have just found this pic of a streetfighter SB6 with a black frame.

The silver rearsets and axle blocks don't do it for me, interesting bike though.

The choke cable broke and i replaced it with a standard GSXR WP cable, only to find that the switchblock is not a GSXR! It is a CBR switchblock WTF!! I assume a stock CBR choke cable isn't suitable, so i am considering buying a GSXR switchblock and converting the plug to suit the Bimota harness, anyone had similar problems and found a solution (other than ordering a standard cable from Bimota)?

Cheers

Steve

Steve, do you know what model of CBR the switches are from?

Not really, it was the wrecker - breaker who identified it.

I presume it would be from a similar vintage, so maybe 93-95 CBR 600 1000.

Sorry i'm not of more help.

No Probs Steve, Just bought a set from a CBR600f of 98 vintage from that site. They look the same and were cheap so we'll see when they turn up Wink

The CBR600F switchgear turned up yesterday.
Yep, it's the same as the switchgear on my SB6.
Don't know if the plugs are the same yet as I'll swap the switch's over next time I pull the body work off Wink

I'm pretty sure it is a different plug Mad

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Cheers

Polish the frame.

The frame in the top pics is gunmetal like the wheels but it makes the bike to dark, so polish it. Mine has carbon frame covers now.

I think it always look wrong when the frame and swing arm differ in powder coat or polish... If the swing arm had the same black treatment as the frame it would have made the whole bike look a thousand times better. Likewise, the polishing treatment should be the same standard for both swing arm and frame, if one is mirror polished then the other should be treated exactly the same way. Wink
