Does anyone know where to acquire one of these? I was parked on a headland overlooking the ocean and a gust of wind blew the bike over. The tank bag didn't help. The handlebar got bent a bit, and the right side turn signal lens got broken. _________________ Spike C.

I brlieve they are Benelli Tornado, but opposite hand, so the left is fitted on the right and the right on the left, but don't take my word on it. |

Hi Spike, sorry to hear.
I think Vort is right, they look the same and the turn signals are placed backwards as you can see on the picture.

Benelli is just as rare here as Bimota! Bob at Bimota Spirit here in the colonies is getting one for me, he says. He has the toe piece for my broken shift lever in stock. _________________ Spike C.

Sounds like an unlucky freak event, and thankfully quite a cheap fix - lucky your fairings didn't get marked. |

I did get a small chip on the rear fairing just behind the seat. Does anyone know the paint code for the pearl white? _________________ Spike C.

I only have codes by Lechler... I think it is:
BIM 2903048 / BIANCO PERLA X1 MICA
The other two possibilities are:
BIM 22 / BIANCO PERLATO 98793 (EX 8032) MICA
BIM 23 / BIANCO PERLATO 98790 (EX 8033) MICA
Best to check at local paint shop... I hope it helps... _________________ Bimota DB7, Bimota DB5 Mille, Ducati 916, Ducati M900, Benelli Tornado Tre |

As the others are saying Spike...and commisserations to the bike....
A Db5 owner over here needed a new indicator lens...and knowing they were Benelli Tornado Tre...ordered a left for his new left......Yes they are fitted backwards to Benellis...but also the left is the right, and the right is the left.....as they are shaped for left and right....one side will not fit the other.....
Always park into the wind if there is any...leaving the bike in gear....They are light bikes and yeh...a gust of wind can topple them |

Bob at Bimota Spirit has ordered me a lens, and I have sent an order for touch up paint from provided code, thanks so much!
I just replaced the bent handle bar so that is done, and I just cut out a piece of mirror out of mirrored acrylic that I will shape for the right side mirror.
All is moving forward from a couple of momentary lapses.
Now I suppose I should post a trip report! All in all a 1700 mile trip in a scant week on a DB5R over some of the best roads in the US! _________________ Spike C.

Good to hear that it all comes back well.
I suppose that trip report is a splendid idea.
