Afternoon, can anyone point me towards a good bike insurance company, I'm getting the runaround at the moment. Cheers

I insure all of mine with ebikeinsurance.co.uk
Seem very reasonable to me but I've never had to claim so couldn't vouch for that side of things...

Hi Matty...I presume you are UK Based??

Heres a thread with contacts for insurance that a lot of us use.....dont forget that the Vdue is officially over 15 years old so classifies for Classic Insurance...most of us go for a Multiclassics policy if you have any other bikes you can add to it...even if they are insured elsewhere...as it can actually lower the policy cost.....

doesn't sound very cheap though does it?

I'm paying £300 to insure:
Vdue, ZX65, NS400R and RS250. not sure on the excesses and would need to check.

So that seems half of what the guys are charging you but I don't know the exact policy so hard to compare....

And when you say a Vdue is over 15 years I guess you are referring to the injection model only as the Evo's are a 2003 build in the eyes of the DVLA if you MSVA'd that way as I did...

Depends which way you look at it......I've 8 bikes on that policy, 4 of which are modern...unlimited mileage, unlimited European coverage, breakdown, recovery and legal included....and less than double your policy...all down to the buyer...and I'm happy with it...Theres a 750cc, 3 900cc bikes and 2 1100cc bikes in there, as well as the vdue and KTM off roader.......

My policy is for classics only (pre 1995 I think), MV is on a separate policy. FJ

The good thing is that I have three named riders and 6 bikes on the policy. All three of us can ride any of the bikes at the same time!

My previous policy was classic insurance, but one modern bike. Although I couldn't have any other riders on the policy. CN

Yep, like I said I didn't really know what I was comparing it to.
I have all of that too. I think they base the premium on the largest CC bike and then additional bikes after "3 "I believe make little or no difference.
So I bet if I changed or added an 1100cc or 900cc bike it would probably double mine if not more...

Thanks guys an girls. Been getting some fat old quotes through, £3k was a good one. Mind you a 500 V Due probably isn't the most sensible 1st bike to ensure Smile another factor is they can't believe I spent that much an haven't even got a licence yet, ha. Exciting times ahead

In the US it was $353/year, guessing it's higher over there.
