I had some unusual carb settings, I published them in my other thread, but figured I would put them in here for completeness.

Right: Left
215 : 210
DQ258 both
60 both
120/B40 both
A/S 1.75 : A/S 2.0

wow those are weird....

Isn't it the left one which should have the larger main too, not the right?

aren't these not far off the standard setting for road with standard pipes though?

Just assume it's reversed, but I don't have the stock standard settings either.

I'm going to order what I need tomorrow to go to the most recent settings. I'm just trying to understand how far off that I am, and why.

Did you say Piero gave you some sort of diagram with all of the jet sizes? Can you share if here?

Hi Seth,

Not a diagram no, just a bit of paper with a list of all the settings in Italiano of course.
Plus a fuel level indicator for the float. This level was just a line drawn on an image of the carb at the level of the casing line above the float bowl join.
Bit hard to explain but if you look at your carb you'll see a line above where the float bowl meets the bottom of the carb and he's saying this shoul dbe the fuel level.

The settings I've posted and Trev as well. He just uses a 230 main on the left carb. Piero used to suggest this and has changed it to a 220 so both are the same for some reason.

Hope that helps.
Chris

Sorry mate I don't have them as my bike came with JM's as standard with the stock pipes all boxed up and stored away. I would guess the mains are smaller however, 215/210 perhaps but just a guess really. Not sure about the others...
might have to be an email Piero jobby...

Plot thickens on the jetting. I ran the settings as provided by everyone through the Dell'Orto carb software. 220 and 230 mains will produce identical results through that sprayer/atomizer tube.

In fact all sizes through 210 will produce identical jetting.

Here is 220 vs 230

Here is 210 vs 220

So in short, put whatever you want in there. The DQ258 sprayer tube is the rate-limiter.

hi guys, my bike runs on poor petrol, so I increased the main jet up to 230 but guess what? the bike makes no difference !!

any used jet 210, 215, 220, 225, 230 the bike will always have the limit of 206 !!!

the dq258 sprayer is very small !! and combined with the needle k76 / k83 will produce only 206 !!

Now I have removed the main jet and the bike only works with the dq258 sprayer and works the same way !! , without the main jet any bike works badly because it receives too much petrol ....

I want to change because carburetors return gasoline in the air box!
Or can it come from intake valves that close badly?

Hi, DQ258 sprayer does exist Dellorto.co.uk (Eurocarb) have three in stock.
Gasoline in the air box is usually caused by float bowel flooding check float levels possibly renew needle valve assembly....you will have to check the size before you order.
To adjust fuel level turn carb upside down gently press float bowel arms to close fuel supply.....the arms should be parallel with the carburettor body with 3mm clearance +/- 0.5mm
Eurcarb stock all dellorto parts .....next day delivery to uk maybe longer to eu.
