I think i remember from previous posts that the clutch is similar to Ducati but not the same.
I'm sure one of the V Due freaks will be along shortly with some useful info _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

The tool I used was for the LE with a dry clutch.
TBH, I've got a set of plates, so when I get a chance I'll try them in my spare Bim motor.
I am convinced that most of the VDue parts are generic, like gears, clutch etc.
They will have been sourced from common supplier bases to Ducati, Guzzi and Benelli.
For the volumes that Bimota were doing, no one would tool up for unique components (apart from barrels, heads, castings etc) |

what happens if Piero hasent got any of these parts in the next few years ?
i do buy my parts from him ,i orderd more today ,
the more generic parts we find from other bikes could keep v dues running for more years |

For what I know from him he wont easealy let that hapen...
Some time ago there wasnt any more engines, now there are some.
More bikes he wont make, at least of this model, are things are being thought...
Why do you think that the developement of the engine continued? _________________ www.motopassione.pt.vu

Small batch manufacturing gets better year after year, and quite a few pieces were supplied by others. I don't think it's much of a stretch to imagine that some owners - with motorsports experience - will just replace the older components and let everyone know how to do so. |
