Cool pictures and nice data for comparisment.
db4 frame really is light. And shorter with more steep steering head angle.
I think you will love the snappy handling compared to the Ducati frames.
Only difference might be offset value of the Ducati forks compared to the Bimota forks. If you want values I would have to measure them up. _________________ Track riding on a Bimota: FUN! |

I am really looking frward to this build! Nice pics comparing the frames and swingers. I'm suprized how much lighter the db4 frame is. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Yes I really hope that the short wheelbase, more steep steering head angle and less weight will give a really snappy handling of the bike.
The offset is 30mm for the SSie triples / yokes.
Please measure yours

The stock DB4 yoke offset is 35mm. I am thinking of putting on 30mm offset triples too because I want to put on more modern UPSD forks. I was told there might be an issue of the front tire contacting the engine upon hard braking? I have an extra custom made billet 35mm offset top clamp with an alloy stem that fits the Ducati ohlins forks and lower yoke for the DB4. I bought it from Moto Corse Performance in Florida a couple years ago. I never installed it. If I can find the time to post a picture, I will. _________________ 2002 Cannondale E440

Found some useful parts at Yahoo in Japan.
Package sent 25 November, arrived in Sweden 1 December !
Frame plugs.
Should there be a O-ring around them ?
Or just the locking screw in the frame?

Rear brake setup
Have anyone tried to mount the rearbrake mastercylinder to the engine like Ducati do?
Will the distance from the pedal to the rearseat be ok?

No o-rings on the plugs, just the screw. _________________ 2002 Cannondale E440
