There are steel corners for magnetic tank bags, and I have a Givi Tankloc setup that I can attach as well. I used some neoprene strips on the bottom of the support parts to protect the tail section. _________________ Spike C.

This is just a mockup to verify the concept! All I need now is a block of ally and a CNC machine......... _________________ Spike C.

Ho Geoff....looking good....and you seem to be enjoying it...Have you re-upholstered the riders seat also? It looks a lot thinker than standard...does it make it more comfortable for longer rides? What did you have done to it? |

Hi 2bims
Regarding my seat, I had it re-upholstered so that it is about 40mm higher.
This also makes it 40mm longer and much more comfortable.
I'm not that big (5,11 and 82 kgs) however the original seat was not good for my man parts.
The modified seat is much better and I had no issues recently doing about 1400km over three days.

Here is my "sport touring" setup, minus the airhawk seat cushion that I really have to have! There is more room in the tankbag, it has another compartment on top, and the tail bag expands more as well.
The lap apron is for rain, the bar covers are for rain and cold. _________________ Spike C.

Amazing work....can you see over the bag without the airhawk seat cushion? _________________ DB9S

Yes, quite easily! Being 6'3" prolly helps a bit!
Many years ago I bought a pair of boots from Aerostich called Combat Touring Boots. They have covered many miles at some speed-- I think that my bike setup as in the picture qualifys as a Combat Touring Bike.....just the thing to get the dispatch back to friendly lines! _________________ Spike C.
