Hello Chuckie

Can't be sure, but they do look frighteningly similar.

Vorts VDue has an SB8k swinger on it, identical except it has stand bobbins on it (Vdues are welded up)

SB8R swing arm is the same BUT

The early VDUE had a smaller axle
The SB8R swing arm has a bigger axle

The SB8R swing arm was used in the VDUE race bikes
and almost every carby model VDUE

You can not just change bearings it is a different wheel needed
if you go to the SB8R swing arm but there are more wheel
choices in the SB8R axle size set up anyway

Don't they just.
The SB6 arm doesn't have the same bracing on the shock mount. The 6R has that, but maybe the SB8R is an alternative

Well I have seen a fair few carb jolly moto vdues and 3 trofeo vdues and out of these 8 or so vdues only 2 have got the SB8R/K swing arm.
My vdue was the first I had seen and I did not realise at the time it had a different swing arm. It was only when I ordered a set of Dymag wheels I discovered the difference. It was not in the bearing or spindle size that was different, but the swing arm width.
However I can confirm my SB8K does have a larger spindle size.

When I went to visit Piero and asked about vdue differences and model variants his answer was quite simple .

Depends what was available at the time.

On the SB8K swing arm, from memory it is 5,5-6mm wider at the spindle , spindle size of the 8K I dont know off hand but guess a good 5-8mm on diameter and hollow , for greater stiffness and less weight.
However the vdues I have seen with the SB8k swinger do not have the SB8K diameter spindle. It is the standard vdue diameter spindle , circa 22-25mm ish.
