Myself and 2bims are thinking of hatching a plan to take the vdues to the IOM.
Is there any other vdue owners that would like to have a trip to the IOM be it for the TT 2016/ classic or southern , maybe just a w/e blast. |

First set of photos from 18 years ago....strange to play spot the difference with the Vdues.....Paioli rear shocks on 2 and ohlins on one....strange location of presumably rear brake reservoir pot?? No Sound deadening cannisters under the seat...just straight expannies to end cans....

an extract from "La Repubblica - 25/5/1997"
THE 'MYTH' BIMOTA BLOCKING THE COLISEUM
TRAFFIC locked yesterday at the Coliseum for the passage of the 'Bimota-Island to Island', a trip organized to celebrate the birth of the very first Grand Prix motorcycle adapted to 'road use: the 500 V-2 with two-stroke engine of 500 cc 110 hp. Three members of the Bimota Club (Fernando Felli, Giorgio Sarti and Vincenzo Cosentino) strictly in keeping clothes 'white-red-green' and with the first three V-2 outputs the assembly line, in these days will go from the circuit of the Sicilian Targa Florio that of the Tourist Trophy on the 'Isle of Man, halfway between the' England and 'Ireland. Three thousand kilometers to demonstrate the 'reliability of the three new motorbikes (on a have not even had time to mount mirrors), but also to celebrate the ninetieth anniversary of the Targa Florio and the Tourist Trophy, two legendary races in the history of motorcycling They have in common the same symbol (the Trinacria) and, above all, the 'extreme difficulty of the road journey in both cases measure seventy kilometers to cover more times. Yesterday, during some usual photo, the three riders were literally taken d 'assault by fans of the brand, from the large number of tourists and, also, by a police patrol for easy control since the motion, even though regularly registered and approved, they seem in effect from GP racing cars. |
