When I went to the Excel show I entered a completion and I won .... which was nice.

It was for a Nano coating by Alpha, it resists dirt and water so a bike won't corrode so much from road salt. Well in the mean time I got punted off and the bike was written off ... which was not nice ... and Bimota's paintwork really isn't how I'd like it.

Anyway I passed it on to Marisa, she's owned a Gix 750 K7 since new and as we all know Suzuki's of this age have a reputation when it comes to finish. Apart from the finish Marisa's bike is in good condition and its also a bit of a keeper.

I was surprised the whole thing was done so quickly - less than a day and the treatment covers everything including the wheels, chain and exhaust and they made a really good job of it too. It looks better than new !!! The only downside is Marisa's like Tigga on a pogo stick over it.

Chuckie

Normally when you enter a completion, that's the end of it. So you did quite well here Laughing

That was my thinking too. I was gutted I couldn't use it and then double gutted when Marisa's bike turned out so well. Still it's a bit of motivation to get on with my projects and get the Bim painted properly.

The cost of her bike would have ben about £400 and it should last a bout 4 to 5 years normal riding ... or 20 years on a Bimota Laughing Laughing Laughing
