Hi, sorry for the confusion but Steve is 2Bims. We have an ongoing discussion about how many cylinders a bike should have Smile He's from over Manchester way.

I'm Andy from Derby/Notts area.

Hi JimiP and welcome to the Forum and Bimota Ownership....the prior being the less painful of the 2....Good to see another on here with a Db2...with the right number of cylinders.......When you get a chance post up some pictures...or if like most...ask how or email to someone else to do it (normally a small child...)

Evidently if you need to know anything youre in the right place for it...I have Owners manuals, workshop manual and parts manual available via email of youre interested....not that great shakes they aint but nice to have....

And...as if by Magic...piccies of the half faired Db2...and not bad looking at all.....seems pretty much stock standard as it came out the factory...with the exception of the double bubble screen......Skidmarx still do a "standard" DB2 screen available in different tints....

Workshop manual, spare parts manual...and Owners handbook freshly emailed over to you.... Laughing

Yes it's quite good , paint on engine could do with a little refresh.
I quite like double bubble screens so will leave it as is I think.
My only real issue with the bike is the stupid side stand !!!!
I so worried to leave it parked anywhere
Is there a quick fix for the suicide stand ?

Somewhere on this Forum is my post where I repaired the fix on my suicide side...I have a plate and an extension bolt mounted to the original sidestand bracket....spring mounts onto plate...and when you push the sidestand it "catches" and holds in the open position...eliminating the suicide element of the sidestand...All it needed was a 3mm ally plate cutting and bending and drilling...one large long bolt and some sleeves...I'll try and find the post somewhere.......

Found it...you'll have to have a look at this and see if your sidestand bracket etc etc is similar so that it can be modded in the same way...i.e. does it have a hole at the front of the sidestand mounting bolt that can hold a plate...plate is shaped so it fits into a lug (this is the mod)...and extended bolt fitted with sleeves and then the 2 springs hook onto the plate...then it holds in the open position when you kick it out...and can then rest the bike on the ground/sidestand...and get off...it fully retracts and holds of course also.....Check to see if yours is originally the same and I can give you dims of the bracket...bolt etc......Its always hard for any 2nd hand Bimota for the owner to know what is original or not...lots of mods were done by Bimota on each model...and even more mods by the owners to fix each Bimotas foebles....
