My db2 doesn't have a fuel level on the tank
It's just got a tap and then where the fuel level
Sensor should be there's a blanking plug.
Just wondered if this is common and the blanking plug looks
Very factory to me ? |

You've done well to find the fuel tank on/off lever....Bimotas generally have them...but the DB2 is quite exceptional in that you can actually reach it to turn it on/off without removing anybodywork etc...
As Standard they do come with a fuel level sensor...with connection typical Ducati style going to the veglia clocks as a low fuel warning light only...Over the years they often break and hence probably been removed |

Would the fuel level sensor be a Ducati one or a hard to find
Bimota one ?? |

Looking at it now...I seem to recall Yamaha being a fit....Ducati stuff is a lot larger single tube with locking collar top and bottom to fit in the bottom of the tank...not that type with a twin bolt securing collar.......
Try the search facility on here
Someone here used an SB6 sender on a Db2

mine comes on after about 50 miles when you brake and is useless in reality. I just go on the mileage to fill it, around the 100 mark _________________ KB1x2, SB3 SB4 BB1 DB2 Vdue Evo YB11 RB1 Ducati MHR Suzi GS650 |

Not sure about the db2, but the db4 and sb6 senders are different lengths by about an inch or so. I can't remember which Is longer but I've written it on the wall of my shed. Other than the length they are identical. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
