Give me the dimensions and I will check against my Santamonica. Same set up Ohlins/Oz, so probably the same. I might be able to get a SM one. |

Thanks Vort! I have not pulled the axle to measure it, but I just discovered that the Bimota part number for the front axles are the same between the SB8K and the DB5R! I assume that means that they are the same.... _________________ Spike C.

that's the one! As a cosmetic fix I installed axle sliders that mask the ground down spot.
A machinist friend suggested turning down the end of the axle past the buggered spot, which would bring the end of the axle close to the fork bottom.
For now the sliders do the job and if worst comes to worst they will protect the rather expensive fork bottoms! _________________ Spike C.

Hi Vort, although I have hidden the damage to mine with a set of sliders I am still in the market for an undamaged one, so yes, if you find one that will work I would love it! They do seem to be rare as frog hair toupees, though! _________________ Spike C.

Got confirmation from Italy on axle, about €100-125 depending on which one. Not the cheapest . I will collect it tomorrow whilst there and then post it on from UK .
Not sure what UK-USA will be .
I have said yes to this , are you OK with price ?

Thanks so much! I was quoted about $250 so that sounds good to me! _________________ Spike C.
