Theres only really one book that does what you describe....published by Nadi, written by Giorgio Sarti....This book is sometimes available....on ebay etc....and was first published in English...with the italian versions also printed....go to Nadi Publishing as I think they still have some italian versions of the book.........theres this one on Amazon, in English...but the price is ASTRONMOMICAL.......usually 80 euros for an Italian written version

http://www.amazon.com/Bimota-Years-Excellence-Giorgio-Sarti/dp/8879111981/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1438202206&sr=1-1&keywords=bimota

This is full colour hardback and gives the history from beginning until the Year 2000...covering all models made until then...but for the DB series only covers DB1 through to DB4......

Theres also 2 other "bboks" in softback published by Rm Clarke covering Bimota from 1978 - 1990 and 1991-2000...although these are in black and white throughout and for me at least...they are merely reprints of motorcycle magazine reviews

http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=n%3A283155%2Ck%3Abimota&keywords=bimota&ie=UTF8&qid=1438202187

The reviews ...you can get for free from here

http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/bikes/bimota.htm

Covers all Bimotas from start to finish.....also try BimotaClassiParts and contact Paolo to see if he has copies of the "Bimota - 25 years of excellence" written by Giorgio Sarti...as the book is no longer in print

Found one..........in Italy and a bargain at 60 odd euros....I am assuming you can read Italian?????

Thank you very much, yes I do read Italian.... unfortunately I found out that the DB7 I had my heart set on has been crashed and repaired and I'm not interested anymore. The search continues.... Sorry I just realised I put this in the non Bimota section, idiot

Maybe a bit off from what OP was asking, but an excellent read nonetheless:
