anybody ridden it?
I've just booked to go in July with 2 Ducati owners (916 Senna & 999S).
Bikes are trailered, all hotels & ferries taken care of and I don't even have to drive to get there! The guy who organises it all sent me a video of one of his "hot" laps - 9 mins 4 secs bridge to gantry!
Will be taking the DB2, which is being prepped in readiness. New cam belts fitted + oil & filter changed and some sticky Pirelli tyres fitted.
Really looking forward to this Very Happy

Laughing Have a look on youtube for the lap record which is held by an RC30 back in the early ninetees... the rider has really good onboard shots for the time and he does a running commentary for you on lines speed etc. Well worth a look, maybe a hundred times before you go! Have fun... Laughing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A58hBNBrJ_4

He does it in 7 min 49 seconds!

The lap record stands because the Ring became a private road so you can only really go from Bridge to gantry.

Ride it like a fast road, keep an eye in your mirrors and indicate move to let the cars past.

Scrub your tyres in first Very Happy

Replace the indicators - Seriously, you need them.
Can you get some extension pieces for the mirrors ? I have some for the SB6 and they great.
As for cars passing ... they're faster than you so let them go. Your new to the road (It's a private toll road) and although you may know it from a Playstation it's different when your out there. Remeber there are people who give up their lives, move there and live just to ride / drive it

Whey hey!! setting sail this evening - wouldn't have thought the 'Ring was the ideal place to do your first track day on a newly acquired bike, but cest la vie as Johnny foreigner would say. Smile

thats another one off my list!
even though I only managed to complete 4 laps - 2 "sighting" laps in the Navara and 2 on the bike before they closed the road on Sunday evening due to a bad smash which we were later informed claimed a couple of lives.
Monday, it rained ALL day, so no laps on the bike. Sad
Some of those cars are scarily fast Shocked
Booking again for September hopefully - with two 11 minute laps under my wheels, I feel the need to get into the "10's" Wink
