Do not really know if it spelt that way ...but..feels like it
The DB9 has has its bars raised slightly..which sounds really easy....but is anything but.....on the bottom on the bar risers there is a machined section which slots into a similar recessed section on the upper yoke...no spacers allowed here...Bimota do not want any adjusting or altering to their design.
Added to which detailed recesses had to be milled to match the Bimota items, thank the Lord for CNC millimg machines!
Any spacers have to have a female section machined on the top and a male section machined on the bottom just to fit between the BIMOTA design.
In addition to the bar risers the front forks have been changed to MATRIS a internals and now you can feel the front end....an excellent modification.
The rear shock has also been changed as the standard EXTREME was just what it said on the label.....extreme.
Seeing the Bimota have also replaced Extreme with Ohlins......it seemed I was aiming in the right direction......the standard DB9 rear linkage is so similar to the CBR1000...it is almost uncanny......same linkage and rising rate....the Honda shock has 2.5 mm of less travel....the only variation...and apparently this was one of their worst designs.
it would appear that Bimota have given their range to Ohlins to get a suitable range of suspension components.....who would believe it....a Bimota with rock hard suspension!
I will try to get some photographs over the weekend and upload. _________________ On an Island in the River Thames!

As mentioned before photographs are due to appear ...BUT...I can not seem to manage any (successful) uploading...so I have enroled BRIAN from Australia and requested his kind input of the photographs .
Within the images you will see the recess on each side (top and bottom) of the bar risers and the detail recesses (on the sides) to mimic the BIMOTA finish. It is now clear to me after working on most of the DB9 why Bimota charge so much money for their components and bikes.
The actual detail recess was done on a CNC machine and looks better in the flesh now that a brillo pad and WD40 have been applied to age the new machining. The gtrain of the alloy was matched to run the same way as the OEM Bimota stuff and all chamfers line up and match.
There was no need to extend any brake lines or throttle cables, as it was only a 25mm rise...although sounds minimal..when added to the wider bar stance and re-angled bar position, makes the DB9 more comfortable.
Nothing..nothing can improve on the fork and rear shock modifications...I have a bike which turns and fires out of bends with gay abandon...so to speak.
Great days ahead...I feel!!...just need some ear plugs for that Arrow exhaust. _________________ On an Island in the River Thames!

Brian......you are great....many thanks
In the photographs you will see BIMOTA's idea to stop you mucking about with their bikes and their designs.
But I reckon some of the people who buy Bimota come from 'not happy with standard' and in the past have messed about with Spondon,Rickmansworth,Harris, Moto Martin and the like .....and probably like changing things...so there .....Bimota.
As long as it's done tastefully and no king and queen seats all should be good.
Anyway the DB9 is where I now want it and it is time to use it and play about with something else........although...truth be told I am smitten by the quality of Bimota and the like.
So.....I hope that you enjoy the modifications to the db9 as much as I do. _________________ On an Island in the River Thames!
