My SB8R doesn't have one. What is the benefit of installing one and are they available?

The trimmer knob can be used for fuel trim, ignition trim or both. It depends on how the tables are set up. The factory trimmer settings are for fuel only. There are 9 positions on the trimmer. The center position is the stock fuel table. The four positions going counter clockwise from center are, .95, .90, .84 and .80 percent leaner. The four positions going clockwise are, 1.05, 1.10, 1.15 and 1.20 percent richer. You can make a poor mans' trimmer with a resistors, set up as a voltage divider.

Indeed, I have about 6 lying around somewhere.

I personally would fit a power commander, but these can help with starting. Put on rich to start then turn back once warm.

The reason you need to reduce the richness is because it adjusts the fuelling, through the entire rev range (or so I am told).

Hi,
Sorry but the message just seems to be sitting there?

Ok, If I send you a trimmer via International signed it will be about £10.
For the trimmer I would like £30.
So it would be £40 in all.
If you put this into my PayPal account (sb8rs@aol.co.uk) I will post and send you the tracking number.

Yeah, your message will sit there until he reads it. I told him to check the forum and say thanks. Guess he hasn't gotten around to it yet
